THE WEEKLY RECAP:
This weekend had the most beautiful weather in Boston, despite still having snow on the ground. I can feel Spring is in the air, or maybe that is wishful thinking coming off a glorious vacation in 80 degree weather. Stores and online shops are screaming new Spring fashion and I can’t help but look forward to the warm weather, and new spring outfits.
I have been carrying this Rebecca Minkoff ‘Love’ Cross Body for the entire fall/winter season and I am ready for a new handbag. A handbag tends to be more of an investment, so it makes it hard choosing the perfect one. I know I want to stick with a neutral, to wear with everything all season long. It is important that I can fit all of my essentials in my bag with organization pockets to keep everything neat.
Cross body styles continue to be a trending silhouette, as well as interesting and unique handles in an array of color and pattern options. Shopbop’s edit of ‘Spring It’ bags have me excited beyond belief, although not entirely practical for my everyday life. Don’t get my wrong, I love to exercise my fashion muscle with an amazing trendy bag like this Furla floral mini cross body, but my bank account knows better. Shop all my practical choices below and help me make a decision!
FAVORITES OF THE WEEK: THE HANDBAG EDIT
WHAT I’M READING:
It took me longer than expected to finish last week’s book by Jodi Picoult so this week I am catching up on all my beloved magazines that have been piling up. Sometimes you just need to relax, unwind after the week and get some inspiration from the gurus themselves.
The March issue is equally as important as the September issue as it gives us all the insight in the trends and coveted pieces for the Spring and Summer season to come. Working in fashion, trend forecasting is my favorite and I think it is so interesting how this is all decided a year in advance. If you did not catch Rebecca Minkoff’s latest fashion show, she produced runway to wear now fashion so we did not have to wait until next season to buy what we saw. I think this is a pivotal moment in the retail industry and we can expect more immediate fashion from designers to come. Can’t wait to share all my favorite fashion trends with you!
