This year a summer road trip took on a new meaning. With a move to a different city, apartment hunting, etc I took quite a few ‘road trips’ this summer. Labor Day weekend was my last road trip back home, meaning I would be coming back to NYC sans car. Walking to work has always been an exciting notion that I wanted to experience. That is until I actually drove my Jeep home…to leave there. I took advantage of the beautiful weather and drove around to places at home I would surely miss while being away.
I spent the day at my family’s cottage on the water. It is the most peaceful and quiet spot that I frequent quite often. Between the water, boats, horses and ocean breeze it is the perfect place to relax and get lost in your thoughts or a good book.
The weather temperates dropped significantly which meant having a sweatshirt for my beach trip was a non negotiable. I love this lace up pullover by True Religion because it is lightweight and perfect for the fall transition. The most important part of any road trip is being comfortable. Having a pair of black leggings your arsenal is the best way to ensure comfort without sacrificing style. True Religion’s runway leggings are extremely comfortable because of the stretch and I am a huge fan of the distressing details. This outfit will be on heavy rotation when running errands, walking around my new city and throughout the weekends. And I might as well just live in these leggings until my next summer road trip.
I would love to know what your favorite ‘summer road trip’ was! Leave a comment below. xo.
