I am back, after a two-week social media and blogging hiatus. I had a serious case of blogger’s block which is the equivalent of writer’s block with the addition of lack of creativity. Sometimes it is necessary to just take a step back, stop overthinking everything and come back with a clear head. And I did just that.
Life is a balancing act, and lately, I have been too drained to juggle everything that life throws at you. It’s a lot for one plate, but I am not complaining because I absolutely love the blogging thing. Fitting it all in, on top of a full-time job is the challenging part. I am trying this new time blocking thing, and keeping myself-hobbies included on a time block to see how much I can accomplish.
Basically, time blocking is just choosing a chunk of time for a given task (this can be exercise, reading, watching tv, writing, etc.) and holding yourself accountable to complete the task within the time you set. This probably doesn’t surprise many people that know me, because I am as type A as they come and love a good to-do list. The scheduling part is new for me, but this will hopefully keep me accountable and allow me to fit everything I want into a day.
So…here we are, my first post after a two-week hiatus from everything blogging. My nights and weekends were spent in the comfort of my sweatpants binge watching all my favorite shows and catching up on some reading. It felt only right to share with you how I am styling a sporty athleisure look, resulting in wearing the most comfortable pair of stripe track pants. Whenever I am feeling uninspired from my wardrobe I always gravitate towards something comfortable. Luckily the athleisure trend is huge for Spring, but with more modern and streamlined pieces than your average sweatpants. Think more time going out and less time at the gym.
To keep this look appropriate for work or nights out, pair with a great blouse and pair of heels. I am obsessed with these marble heeled sandals (50% off at Misguided) and feel they instantly add an edgy vibe to an outfit.
The weather in Boston is still cold, rainy and snowy, so I am still layering with great light weight jackets until the weather transitions. What trends are you most excited about for Spring?!
