although daylight losings time has come and gone, the cold weather doesn’t seem to be letting go. raise your hand if you’re ready for spring. because of inclement weather conditions, cold mornings and incredibly warm afternoons that fall in-between the lukewarm days between March and May, we need to depend on the art of layering. hint; still wearing a jacket.
on today’s agenda; the infamous baby blue faux leather jacket.
when i came across this leather jacket, it seemed like a beacon of hope. a light at the end of the all black clothing tunnel that seemed to be my closet. pastels are in for spring they say? groundbreaking i know. but excited nevertheless. this jacket is my prelude into pastels to kick start the spring trend. because forty degree temperatures doesn’t have to mean black and white, white and black. but they would if i didn’t have this pastel jacket to give those forty degree temps the middle finger.
how to fake cool? drape that jacket over your shoulders. people will just think you are effortlessly chic when in fact the jacket is so stiff because its pleather, you actually can’t move your arms when wearing it. but who has to know that? and besides the temperature change is so rapid you need to be able to fling that jacket off with a moments notice.
