Nantucket Wine Fest 2016 was quite the weekend (from what I remember). Those wine tastings get you every time! The girls and I happened to attend two, because, well-why not? When in Nantucket right? I stayed on Nantucket from Friday to Sunday with 10 girls in the cutest quintessential Nantucket Island home. I honestly wish I could live on the island for the entire summer. The iconic cobblestones, historic buildings, slow pace, charming houses and restaurants create the perfect setting for a wine festival or weekend away.

Nantucket is located off the coast of Cape Cod and accessible only by air or by sea. The easiest route for me to get there is the fast ferry out of Hyannis. The Hy-line cruise whisks you from downtown Hyannis to downtown Nantucket in one hour. You really can’t beat that.

The wine fest took place at the White Elephant Hotel which is a beautiful venue, even when there is not a busy wine festival going on. Hundreds of vendors from vineyards around the world were set up for the occasion. The girls and I met a few vineyard owners from California and France while sipping cocktails at Cru on Friday night.  This set up the perfect scenario to visit their booths and learn about the wine, culture and how it’s made all while tasting and mingling. My wanderlust to go to Napa Valley has by far increased worlds. I am excited to go back next year to experience wine fest all over again!
