hey Monday. sup?

ways to rule Monday and not let Monday rule you. don’t walk, dance your way into Tuesday. wear your party skirt to work instead of out working the dance floor.

i call this look the mullet. a very different kind of mullet. one that ultimately has nothing to do with hair. a customized celebration to the classic mullet; business in the front party in the back, except in this case it’s a party on the bottom and all business on top. think about it; wearing a blazer to any degree can automatically add you to a list of more exemplary employees in an office setting. you can catch me behind my desk, looking as corporate as can be in my white blouse and suit vest. but little do you know about the party happening on my lower extremities. the little ruffle on my skirt provides quite the personality as i flounce my way to the printer in the morning. the over the knee boots provide the ideal support system my legs need when I don’t want to shave. together the two are a perfect marriage.

would it be ridiculous to say that learning how to make your day to night/night to day pieces work simultaneously to be appropriate for any hoopla you may find yourself going to, could be the most important lesson there is. the options are ultimately endless and frankly, i see no reason why a boss figure would bat their eyelashes if you are wearing a highly respectable white blouse with crisp black suit vest to distract them from your underhanded tactics to hide the fact you wearing the same skirt you wore over the weekend sashaying through the city.

i think i successfully nailed the look of a sexy schoolgirl that got invited to a corporate luncheon. the best part of this whole outfit is that when the day is over, it will make for the perfect parlay from business casual to a vodka-induced dance party, minus the vest for obvious reasons.
